About The Position

Overview Shift: Part-time, combination of evenings and nights, for 40 hours per pay period, holiday and every third weekend rotation. Make a difference when every second counts. Our Emergency Department is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician to join our fast-paced, highly skilled team. As a vital member of our ER, you will provide hands-on patient care, support clinical staff, and help ensure the safety and comfort of patients during critical moments. Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma/GED or currently and actively working towards completion of Diploma/GED
• Certification/License: Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within 3 months from date of hire

Nice To Haves

• Prefer candidates that have successfully completed the CNA program and are active on the Iowa Direct Care Registry

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Perform vital signs, EKGs, blood glucose checks, and specimen collection.
• Support nurses and physicians with patient care procedures.
• Provide compassionate, respectful assistance with daily living activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized care environment.
• Document patient information accurately and promptly.
