Responsible for providing nursing care to patients under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse. Perform routine direct patient care activities following established policies and procedures in a manner conducive to the safety and comfort of the patient. Perform observations of patients and reports changes in patient condition to the registered nurse. Perform specific skills including phlebotomy and point of care testing (POCT). Assist in all aspects of daily living activities for the patients, including, but not limited to general hygiene of the patient, changings, light housekeeping, and patient vitals. Med/Surg, PCU, Telemetry, Ortho Units: We are the designated stroke hospital with a TPA administration within 45 minutes of arrival. With an 30 Bed Med/Surg unit. We have an average daily census of 30 patients. The Pottstown Med/Surg has 2 floors to support our adult to geriatric patients. They see a wide variety of patients from Cardiac Comorbitities, DVT, Sepsis, Pneumonia, and Post Op Care.
