The Patient Care Technician provides patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Key responsibilities include observing and reporting patient condition changes, assisting with daily living activities (such as meals and bathing), recording vital signs, measuring fluid intake/output, collecting specimens, and transporting patients within the hospital. They also perform one-on-one monitoring with documentation, demonstrate computer skills, follow physician orders, and use the internal paging and patient call systems. Additional tasks are assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Previous Patient Care Technician or Nursing Assistant experience preferred.
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • American Heart Association, (AHA) CPR (Basic Life Support) Certification required.
