About The Position
Join our Jonesboro Family Medical Center Clinical team as a Patient Care Technician (PCT)! Under the guidance of licensed nursing staff and physicians, you'll play a vital role in delivering compassionate, direct patient care. Assist patients with both clinical and administrative needs, support nurses and doctors during exams and procedures, and make a meaningful difference every day. Requirements
- High School, GED or formal educational equivalent.
- Successful completion of PCT course within 3 months of hire
- Ability to perform point of care testing, draw and collect blood specimens and prepare for laboratory processing.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in an ambulatory care setting, providing patient care.
- BLS (CPR) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Collects patient data.
- Performs vital signs and point-of-care testing.
- Performs EKG's.
- Set up for and assist providers with procedures and examinations.
- Coordinates appointments, referrals, consults, tests, and/or procedures.
- Assist with messages, callbacks, and referrals.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
