About The Position

A Patient Care Tech (PCT) at ProMedica plays a vital role in the health and safety of patients. This role involves caring for patients, performing clerical services, and assisting all members of the ProMedica health care team while adhering to standards, procedures, and policies. PCTs act as ambassadors for ProMedica through interactions with patients, visitors, and co-workers. Key duties include assisting the patient care team with exams, procedures, obtaining patient data, and other direct patient care processes. The PCT is also responsible for ensuring an appropriate stock of supplies and equipment is available and functioning correctly. Additionally, the role involves tasks such as scheduling procedures, coordinating admission, discharge, and transfer processes, answering phones, taking messages, directing calls, and picking up and delivering specimens, documents, and other items to maintain operational efficiency.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Basic math skills
Ability to read and write
Ability to communicate or respond to inquiries
CPR certification prior to performing direct care (training provided)
