About The Position

Banner Rehabilitation Hospital, in partnership with Select Medical, is seeking a full-time Patient Care Technician (PCT) for day shifts in Phoenix, AZ. The hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care to address the medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges for individuals with various conditions including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Requires hospital experience as a patient care technician, nursing assistant or experience in a related field such as a medical assistant or as an actively enrolled nursing student.
  • Requires at least 1 year of PCT/nursing assistant experience.
  • Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine tasks in patient care/assistance and documentation of care provided.
  • Transports patients to and from various treatment areas when necessary; assists in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
  • Performs services for the patient involving dressing, showering, bathing and oral feeding.
  • Answers patient lights and performs services in a timely manner that adds to the physical well-being of the patient.
  • Participates in patient turning/repositioning, performs purposeful hourly rounds.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
