About The Position

Banner Rehabilitation Hospital, in partnership with Select Medical, is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for its Phoenix, AZ location. The hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care to individuals recovering from brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. The role is full-time with 12-hour day shifts (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM) and offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus. The hospital supports career growth and personal well-being, providing an extensive orientation program for new team members.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Requires hospital experience as a patient care technician, nursing assistant or experience in a related field such as a medical assistant or as an actively enrolled nursing student.
  • Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment required.

Responsibilities

  • Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Technician performs routine tasks in patient care/assistance and documentation of care provided.
  • Transports patients to and from various treatment areas when necessary; assists in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
  • Performs services for the patient involving dressing, showering, bathing and oral feeding.
  • Answers patient lights and performs services in a timely manner that adds to the physical well-being of the patient. Participates in patient turning/repositioning, performs purposeful hourly rounds.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
