About The Position

Banner Rehabilitation Hospital West, in partnership with Select Medical, is an inpatient rehabilitation hospital located in Peoria, AZ. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Requires hospital experience as a patient care technician, nursing assistant or experience in a related field such as a medical assistant or as an actively enrolled nursing student.
• Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine tasks in patient care/assistance and documentation of care provided under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Transports patients to and from various treatment areas when necessary; assists in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Performs services for the patient involving dressing, showering, bathing and oral feeding.
• Answers patient lights and performs services in a timely manner that adds to the physical well-being of the patient.
• Participates in patient turning/repositioning, performs purposeful hourly rounds.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
