This specific role is for a Patient Care Technician in the Med Surg department at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Nurse Aide preferred.
Responsibilities
- Foster a respectful healing environment by assisting patients with essential personal care and activities of daily living (ADLs) to ensure comfort and dignity.
- Enhance patient recovery and safety by aiding with careful movement, positioning, and transfers as directed by the clinical team.
- Serve as a vital observer for nursing staff by promptly identifying and reporting any changes in a patient’s physical, mental, or emotional condition.
- Maintain accurate clinical records of care activities while ensuring patient rooms remain orderly and medical equipment is functional and ready for use.
