About The Position
The Nephrology/Urology Unit at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital provides exceptional care for community members requiring Hemodialysis and/or specialized urological care. Nurses on this unit are trained in Peritoneal Dialysis, a service unique to this hospital in Athens. The team works closely with an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care, supported by experienced charge nurses and an energetic clinical manager. The unit emphasizes teamwork and a unit council with all disciplines to make unit-based decisions for optimal patient care.
Requirements
- BLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
Nice To Haves
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Preferred
- 1 year of patient care experience Preferred
- CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant Preferred
- Certification from a Patient Care Technician program Preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, demonstrating competency with treatments, procedures and equipment appropriate to the clinical setting and hospital policy, under the supervision of licensed clinical staff.
