About The Position
Sentara Urgent Care Port Potomac is now hiring a Full-Time Patient Care Specialist in the Woodbridge, VA area! Schedule: Clinic hours - 8:00a.m. - 8:00p.m. Monday-Friday. Saturday and Sunday, 8am-4pm. Schedule will consist of 2 12-hour shifts. 1 8-hour shift and 1 6-hour shift with alternating weekends. As a Patient Care Specialist with Sentara Health, you will provide non-clinical support within a physician's office and ensure an excellent patient experience by performing a variety of complex administrative tasks to support patient care delivery. Primary duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, and answering patient questions. Requirements
- HS - High School Grad or Equivalent
- Three (3) years Clerical, Customer Service experience required.
- One year experience with Health Insurance Plans, Medical Records Data, Medical Terminology, Registration, Scheduling, or Third-Party Payers required.
- An Associate's level degree in lieu of the required experience will be considered.
