POSITION OVERVIEW: The Patient Care Specialist plays a vital role in supporting pediatric providers and ensuring an exceptional experience for children and their families. This role involves hands‑on patient interaction, clinical support, and assisting with daily clinic operations to maintain a smooth and welcoming environment. This position will have staff lead and training responsibilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially with children and families.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work effectively in a fast‑paced clinic environment.
• Basic computer knowledge; familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) beneficial.

Nice To Haves

• Prior leadership or supervisory experience would be preferred.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred but not required; pediatric experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and families, room patients, and prepare them for provider evaluations.
• Accurately obtain and document vital signs and patient information.
• Train and orient staff and act as a team lead.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe exam rooms and clinic areas.
• Assist providers during exams and procedures as needed.
• Support patient documentation and contribute to efficient workflow.
• Help coordinate patient scheduling and maintain effective patient flow throughout the clinic.
• Deliver excellent customer service by addressing patient and family questions professionally and promptly.
