Clerical role as Front Desk in a primary care office How will you make an impact & Requirements Greet and check in patients upon arrival at the medical office. Answer phone calls and schedule appointments for patients. Collect patient copays and update patient information in the electronic medical records system. Handle patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service. Works under moderate supervision. Efficiently process all urgent specialist referrals, appointment ticklers, and urgent medical records release requests. Understand billing flags for outstanding balances. Perform general administrative tasks such as faxing, and scanning documents, etc. Uses software following established protocols for documentation, responding to requests, and initiating appropriate tests and orders. Maintain HIPAA-compliant computer access, including only secure means of handling and forwarding PHI (e.g., no emails, texts, or phone messages). Maintains clinical proficiency in practice-specific competencies. Assist the Practice Manager with assigned administrative duties as assigned. Demonstrate excellent service to internal team members and patients. Perform other related duties as assigned. Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients.
