Logan Health is seeking a Patient Care Scheduler to join our Centralized Scheduling team in a PRN (as needed) capacity. In this role, you will be one of the first points of contact for patients, helping them schedule appointments and navigate their care across Logan Health clinics and services. Our scheduling team plays an important role in that mission by ensuring patients can access care quickly, efficiently, and with a positive experience from the very first interaction.
Requirements
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy when working with patient information
- Comfort using electronic medical record systems and scheduling software
- A patient-centered approach and commitment to providing excellent service
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in healthcare scheduling, patient access, or medical office operations
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare workflows
Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments across Logan Health clinics and departments while ensuring efficient use of provider schedules
- Assist patients by phone with scheduling, rescheduling, and answering appointment-related questions
- Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information to ensure accurate records
- Collaborate with clinic teams to help coordinate timely patient access to care
- Maintain professionalism, compassion, and confidentiality in all patient interactions
- Support a smooth scheduling process that helps patients receive the care they need when they need it
