Medina Hospital's 2 South unit is a 25-bed complex medicine unit known for its compassionate, comprehensive and patient-first patient care, highly skilled nursing team and engaging work environment. As a PCNA on this team, you will work collaboratively with fellow caregivers to create a welcoming, healing and compassionate environment for patients. This position provides opportunities for educational advancement, career growth and participation in skills development courses offered by Cleveland Clinic. It is an excellent opportunity to begin your nursing career in a supportive and caring healthcare setting. A caregiver in this role works nights from 7:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • Military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered

Nice To Haves

  • State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA)

Responsibilities

  • Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN.
  • Patient care may include vital signs, weight, assisting patients with personal care and activities of daily living, patient transfers/transport, pulse oximetry, point of care testing, dressing changes, applying external monitoring devices and removing urinary Foley catheter.
  • Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to an RN.
  • Assist with keeping patients' rooms clean and orderly.
