Patient Care Novice I
About The Position
Nurses develop their best skills through a combination of education and real-life experience. Our Patient Care Novices work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse to assist in providing high quality patient care. This is an excellent opportunity to learn hands-on care and gain experience recognizing signs and symptoms and how to respond. Requirements
- Enrolled in Accredited Nursing program
- Must have successfully completed one full rotation (semester, quarter, etc.) of nursing clinicals through a fully accredited school of nursing.
- Must be in good standing in their program-Required.
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
Responsibilities
- Under the direction and supervision of the RN, perform patient care activities as needed of the patient population(s) served in the unit/department.
- Contribute to patient care in a safe environment as well as maintaining equipment, supplies, and stock in a safe and efficient manner.
- Communicate effectively data and significant patient information to the attention of the RN.
- Document data collected during the provision of patient care in a timely manner.
- Under the direction and supervision of the RN, perform patient care activities as needed of the patient population(s) served in the unit/department.
