About The Position

Patient Care Liaison - Bloomingdale - Radiology Position Highlights : Full-Time, 40 hours Hours: Monday-Friday; 8:30-5:00pm Location: 220 Springfield Drive, Bloomingdale, IL 60108 Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits that include healthcare navigation assistance and medical coverage at 100% (after deductible) when utilizing a Duly provider. Responsibilities Under the direction of the Radiology supervisors and Quality and Compliance Manager, serves as a primary assistant to Technologists and Radiologists. Practices high quality medical care in performing a variety of patient care activities such as patient preparation for exams, stocking supplies, patient history documentation, communication of STAT results to ordering providers, and various other Radiology duties. Patient exam and preparation Prepares scanning rooms for patient exams, including cleaning, sterilizing, stocking supplies Escorts patients to scanning rooms and assists in obtaining pertinent information, which may include obtaining weight, height, health history, and symptoms Assists with Exams and procedures Assists the technologists with workflow, positions, and contrast preparation As needed, assist with setting up medical coils or phantom handling and exam/procedure preparation Assist Radiology Coordinator with distribution of exams to Radiologists Connect Radiologists with ordering providers to report STAT results Assist Radiology QA and Compliance team with other data projects Quality control procedures Cleans, disinfects and/or sterilizes coils and equipment following safety and OSHA standards Maintains department areas and patient areas for cleanliness Stocks clean linen and empties the soiled linen receptacles as needed Maintains department logs assuring adherence to DMG Safety/OSHA cleaning standards Patient Documentation Utilizes appropriate Hyperspace/Amicas computer functions and interaction with the Technologist to facilitate patient flow Documents patient information, including current medications, reasons for the visit, and patient symptoms Assures that department safety procedures and contrast preparation procedures are followed correctly by the collection of information from labs and surgery/implant reports Familiarizes oneself with necessary department paperwork and can identify and complete it Prepares patient paperwork as per department guidelines Qualifications High School diploma or GED required One year of experience One-year training in medical office/recent ambulatory care experience preferred Knowledge of windows applications for computers Understand and comply with HIPAA regulations Ability to work with patients of all ages with psychiatric conditions Basic knowledge of Medical Terminology Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills with Radiologists and Providers The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $15-$21/hour, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.   • High School diploma or GED required
  • One year of experience
  • Knowledge of windows applications for computers
  • Understand and comply with HIPAA regulations
  • Ability to work with patients of all ages with psychiatric conditions
  • Basic knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills with Radiologists and Providers

  • One-year training in medical office/recent ambulatory care experience preferred
