The Patient Financial Advocates are patient facing. This position generates revenue by handling high volumes of patient calls and providing telephonic customer service with basic knowledge of all areas of Revenue Cycle.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
- 1+ years of data entry and customer service experience
- Ability to work an 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am – 4:30pm; It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime
- Must be 18 years of age OR older
Responsibilities
- Provide support with billing, patient payments, patient inquires
- Processing assistance applications
- Helping get insurance coverage and resolving patient issues
- Help patients apply for Medicaid and special Medicaid programs. The team processed over 700 Medicaid applications last month, 755 financial assistance applications and collected approx. $127,000
