About The Position

Intune Physical Therapy is a growing company and has partnered with EPIC PT to offer physical therapy services to patients in the Raleigh, NC area. With over 75 years of combined clinical experience specializing in sports physical therapy, orthopedic care, pelvic floor therapy, and advanced rehabilitation techniques, EPIC PT creates an optimal healing environment for every patient. You will be an employee of Intune PT which is doing business as EPIC PT in this market. Role Summary: Are you a welcoming, organized individual with excellent customer service skills? Join our physical therapy clinic team as a Patient Care Coordinator where you'll be the first point of contact for our patients. We're seeking a detail-oriented professional who can create a positive first impression while efficiently managing administrative responsibilities to ensure our clinic runs smoothly and our patients feel valued from the moment they walk through our doors. We are open to part-time, full-time, and PRN shift preferences.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of medical office or customer service experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare office procedures
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records systems and practice management software
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional appearance and positive, friendly demeanor

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of medical insurance and billing procedures preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients, verifying insurance and collecting required documentation
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, managing the therapists' calendars effectively
  • Answer phones professionally and direct calls appropriately
  • Process patient payments and manage daily financial transactions
  • Verify insurance benefits and obtain necessary authorizations
  • Manage electronic medical records and ensure patient information is accurate and up-to-date
  • Coordinate with clinical staff regarding patient flow and scheduling
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming reception area
  • Handle general office duties including patient documents and supply management
  • Assist with insurance claims processing as needed
