About The Position

Lafayette Physical Therapy, Inc. been an established private practice in the community for over 51 years. We provide rehabilitation and wellness including orthopedics, sports and geriatric rehabilitation to a diverse clientele. We have two locations, one in Lafayette and one in Pleasant Hill called Bay Area Physical Therapy. We are specifically looking to hire at our Lafayette location. We treat a variety of ailments including orthopedics conditions, sports injuries, neurological disorders, and geriatric conditions. We also provide diagnostic testing such as Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (MSKUS), Nerve Conduction Studies, and Electromyography (EMG) . The Patient Care Coordinator works at the front desk assisting patients in person and over the phone to schedule appointments, collect payments, set up patient charts (through the Medical Record Software). Requirements

  • Strong Computer Skills: Microsoft Word and Excel, email, Windows 11 (or similar), data entry abilities with typing Speed of 45wpm or higher by touch.
  • We are looking for a team member who can work Full Time 40 hours per week.
  • Flexibility for scheduling is very helpful.

  • We are currently looking for a Patient Care coordinator who can work the following shift: Closing Shift: Monday through Thursday 9 :45am - 6:45pm, Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm (Possibility of 8:30am - 5:30pm Mondays until we have later therapy hours on that day). ( Note the training schedule is likely 7am to 4pm or 8am - 5pm Monday-Friday at our Pleasant Hill location for approximately 2-6 weeks before transitioning to the assigned permanent schedules and the Lafayette location.) Training Address: 380 Civic Dr. Suite 100, Pleasant Hill, CA 94523.
  • Other days and times are helpful as well, but candidates must be able to work during the schedule listed above and work 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting patients, checking patients in, collecting copayments/service charges owed, and directing them to where to go in the clinic.
  • Patient chart/paperwork preparation, scanning, and filing.
  • Verifying patient Insurances and informing them of their coverage. (We have a Billing Department that handles most of the verifications, the Front Desk is responsible for doing some verifications and communicating benefits to patients).
  • Answering Phones, assisting patients over the phone, and directing calls.
  • New patient intakes for Physical Therapy, Massage, and Wellness Services and scheduling appointments.
  • Work as a team with other staff members in order to provide excellent customer service and teamwork.
