About The Position
The Patient Care Assistant (CNA) at Holy Family Medical Center- LTACH in Des Plaines, IL, works in the Acute Medical Surgical Department. This full-time role involves 12-hour day shifts (7a-7p) with rotating weekends and holidays. The assistant is responsible for helping patients with daily living activities, providing basic nursing care, and ensuring a safe environment, all under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Illinois approved Certification required
- Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current
- Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology
Nice To Haves
- Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred
- Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred
- Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred
Responsibilities

- Assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit
