About The Position
This full-time Patient Care Assistant (CNA) position is for the Psych Acute Department at Prime Healthcare St. Joseph in Elgin, IL, with night shifts (7pm-7:30am) including rotating weekends and holidays. The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients, and helps maintain a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Illinois approved Certification required
- Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current
- Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology
Nice To Haves
- Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred
- Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred
- Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred
