As a Patient and Customer Care Representative (PCCR), you will play a vital role both as a part of the client and patient care teams, ensuring seamless client experiences while supporting our clinical team in providing excellent veterinary care. This unique role encourages you to float between direct animal care and client services -- utilizing a broad skillset, contributing to hospital efficiency, and strengthen the bond between our medical team, clients, and patients. Deliver warm, empathetic, and professional customer care at every interaction. Greet clients, manage check-in/check-out, schedule appointments and follow-ups, and triage multi-line phone calls. Feed, walk, bathe, and observe hospitalized or boarding patients. Safely restrain pets for exams, treatments, imaging, and procedures. Collect and label diagnostic samples; assist technicians with surgery prep, imaging, and other diagnostics. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment; keep exam and treatment areas stocked and organized. Assist with medication dispensing and ensure precise patient documentation. Maintain clean, organized reception area, exam rooms, kennels, and treatment spaces while following infection-control protocols. Stand, walk, and move throughout the hospital for extended periods; lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Operate around anesthesia, radiation, and potential infectious agents while adhering to all safety procedures. Availability to work evenings and weekends

Requirements

  • One or more years' experience in a veterinary support role
  • Demonstrated ability to provide patient care in emergency situations/under high pressure
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Exposure to Veterinary Practice Management Systems in previous roles
  • A positive, team-first attitude and a passion for creating a welcoming environment
