Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Computer experience required
  • Be able to communicate with customers, associates and other personnel in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Portray an appearance that is neat, clean, and professional.

  • Be able to use computer, copy machine, fax machine, and calculator.
  • This is a non-exempt 40 hour per week position. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
  • This position requires continual sitting and typing at a computer terminal, some walking, bending, stooping, and lifting of up to 25 pounds. Must be able to read, write, hear and understand electronic verbally transcribed information.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls efficiently and transfer to appropriate department or personnel.
  • Helps register all patients, in-patient and out-patient, to include specialty clinic services. Obtain and verify all patient demographics for these services, and update patient information in computer system.
  • Receipt private pay payments when received at front desk.
  • File miscellaneous office papers.
  • Answer questions regarding patient account balances if possible or transfer to appropriate insurance biller.
