Position Summary: Hospital Physician 1500 insurance claim follow up including filing appeals, submitting supporting documentation, identifying credentialing issues with payer, requesting place of service/coding review, requesting reconsideration via phone or online to ensure accurate claim payment is received. Timely and accurate resolution of assigned claims in accordance to department policies and procedures. Understanding of EOB, denial codes, CPTs and 1500 claim form is preferred. Professional written communication through system notes, appeal forms and emails. Follow up as needed with payers until claim resolution is obtained. Hybrid work schedule considered after training is complete. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or 2 years relevant experience

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of EOB, denial codes, CPTs and 1500 claim form is preferred.
