This position assists in monitoring the activities and performance of physician practices to ensure that billing related functions are performed in an efficient manner consistent with department policies and procedures. The role involves interfacing with physicians and administrators to ensure financial growth and stability, assisting in monitoring the accuracy of fee structures and reimbursement payment schedules from third party payers, and handling all cash payment deposits and refunds. It also includes assisting in resolving complex billing situations, providing guidance and direction to billing/clerical staff regarding billing and office/clerical functions, carrying out clinical documentation requests to the business office for timely appeals, and implementing policies and procedures to facilitate billing and maximize case collections. The representative will also implement improvements for the financial management of each billing area.
