About The Position

Responsible for the overall management of the patient encounter to ensure effective customer service, compliant billing and collection, correspondence management, claim follow-up, accurate payment and adjustment reconciliation, correspondence review and compliance of overall K.P.I. and departmental standards.

Requirements

  • One to three years’ diverse experience in a healthcare setting
  • Comprehension of medical billing and collection
  • Financial background in account receivable
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of regulatory billing and HIPAA guidelines
  • Competent in the use of desktop computers
  • Competent in the use of ten key
  • Competent in the use of copy machine
  • Competent in the use of fax machine
  • Proficient in Microsoft word
  • Proficient in excel
  • Proficient in outlook and similar programs

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED
