Join our dynamic team as an Outpatient Pharmacy Technician, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy. Working under the direct supervision of pharmacists and alongside other skilled technicians, you'll be responsible for a diverse range of tasks aimed at supporting medication preparation, packaging, distribution, and inventory management. Under the direct supervision of the Patient Access Supervisor, call center technicians are responsible for receiving inbound contacts (calls, emails, faxes, etc) from patients, providers and insurance companies. These technicians will be responsible for interviewing callers to obtain a full understanding of what information is being requested, coordinating over the phone pharmacy tasks ranging from processing a prescription medication to updating patients' insurance and demographics, while maintaining high level customer service on every call.

Requirements

  • Registration with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy is required
  • 6 months pharmacy technician experience or minimum 2nd year pharmacy student

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years retail/inpatient pharmacy technician experience preferred

Responsibilities
