About The Position

We are seeking a full-time Patient Access Representative serving as the first point of contact for patients, families, and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. This role is responsible for greeting and directing callers and walk-ins; scheduling appointments; registering patients; verifying insurance eligibility and benefits; collecting payments; and assisting with required documentation. The representative acts as a liaison between patients, families, and clinical staff by providing updates, triaging questions and supporting continuity of care. Additional responsibilities include maintaining HIPAA compliance, managing records, processing payments and mail, updating databases, completing reports, and maintaining office operations. This position requires strong communication, multitasking, and customer service skills in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Shift: Full-time, variable 8-hour shifts working Monday-Friday. Shifts are both 4:00AM-12:30PM and 9:30AM-6:00PM on a rotating basis. NO WEEKENDS! NO HOLIDAYS!

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and customer service skills in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Friends and Family CPR required; can be obtained upon hire

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree preferred
  • Two plus years of experience in a similar role in a clinical setting highly preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes preferred
