About The Position

Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opening for a Patient Access Representative to join our team. This position is full time, non-exempt and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $27.88 - $39.36/hour. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required
  • 1 year experience in scheduling and registration required

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Responsibilities

  • The Patient Access Representative is the first person that our patients and caregivers will have the opportunity to interact.
  • This position provides support to our patients as they are experiencing a life changing event.
  • The support is accomplished by working with the caregiver to schedule appointments, perform pre-registration and registration of new and existing patients, and providing patients with information regarding access to additional external financial resources.
  • In this position, you will have the opportunity to support our patients with issues dealing with scheduling and questions for the provider(s).
  • In addition, you will maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory agencies by obtaining various consents.
  • This is not an all-inclusive list of this job’s responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
