As a Patient Access Representative at the Puyallup Tribal Health Authority (PTHA), you play a critical role in creating a welcoming, efficient, and compassionate environment from the very first interaction. As a Patient Access Representative in this fast-paced and dynamic setting, your ability to connect with patients, stay organized, and keep things running smoothly ensures every individual feels supported and valued from the moment they walk through the door. What You’ll Do: As a key member of our Patient Access team, you will: Create positive first impressions by greeting, checking in, and assisting patients and visitors with professionalism and warmth Deliver outstanding customer service in a high-volume clinical environment Manage patient registration and scheduling, ensuring accuracy and efficiency Maintain electronic health records (EHR) by preparing, verifying, and updating patient information Coordinate appointments and follow-ups, supporting smooth patient flow Verify insurance and eligibility, including DSHS screening and demographic updates Handle administrative tasks such as answering phones, routing calls, data entry, scanning, and correspondence Support clinic operations by collaborating across departments and providing coverage as needed What You Bring: HS Diploma or GED At least (1) year of front desk experience in a medical or dental setting Recent hands-on EPIC experience with strong accuracy and independence Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a face-paced environment Excellent communication and customer service skills Why PTHA? Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • At least (1) year of front desk experience in a medical or dental setting
