The responsibility of this position will be to deliver training and assistance needed to support and onboard new employees. The person will deliver on-site process, procedure and systems training for claims platforms and ancillary systems associated with Optum. May also deliver soft skills training.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to work 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday - Friday
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • 2+ years of experience delivering training in a business operation, corporate, or production driven environment
  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle/hospital registration services
  • Possess excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple areas within the team
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Possess strong attendance behavior
  • Ability to display the Core Values of Allina Health and Optum daily
  • Agility in adapting to adult learning styles and interactive delivery methods
  • Consistent walking, standing, bending, turning, etc
  • Lifting weight Up to 10 lbs. occasionally, up to 2-5 lbs. frequently

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site training to individuals or groups based on site need
  • Work with site leadership to coordinate new employee training schedule, identify knowledge gaps or learner concerns
  • Conduct training for newly hired operational team members on core systems, processes, and applications
  • Provide training on culture and values aligned with the Allina Health and Optum organizations
  • Ensure new employees have taken required learnings prior to completing orientation process to include the Allina Health Learning Journey
  • Provide feedback to trainees and site leadership regarding class progress, areas of strength and areas of improvement
  • Provide on the job training/support follow-up post training
  • Provide on-site support when staffing issues occur, covering any areas assigned
  • Additional duties as assigned
