Under the supervision of the Director of Patient Access, the PA Trainer is responsible for the preparation, training, and evaluation for users in all areas of Patient Access. This position will also be responsible for performing and maintaining the quality assurance process for the department. Maintains responsibility for training and continuing education of Patient Access staff on operational policies and procedures, third party requirements and regulatory compliance changes. Identifies and assesses training needs within the Patient Access Department. Performs periodic quality and accuracy reviews of staff performance to identify individual retraining needs as well as departmental training opportunities. Develops and maintains all training materials including the construction of binders, course books and any relevant job aids that facilitate the training process. Responsible performing quality assurance audits for the purpose of monitoring the accuracy of patient registration system transactions. Reviews QA statistical data with Patient Access leadership; helps identify problems and trends; and recommends solutions. Participates in training-related projects and process improvement initiatives. Attends and participates in multi-disciplinary project teams across the organization. Maintains excellent competencies in the registration policies and procedures per departmental guidelines. Ability to work different shifts as needed. Primary working hours will be M-F Days. However, hours may change as necessary to train staff. Acts as a liaison between Guidehouse and client HR within the scope of new joiner orientation and onboarding. Lead classroom setting training when applicable. Provide training to address audit findings and identified opportunities for improvement (OFI). Other duties as assigned by leadership.
