The Emergency Department Patient Access Representative(PAR) provides customer-service coverage in emergency department locations of Asante and assumes the responsibility for the successful financial outcomes of all patient services. In this role, the ED Patient Access Rep is also responsible for thoroughly and accurately describing the various compliance and regulatory documents that Asante is required to present to patients, while always maintaining patient relations, customer satisfaction, and Asante's financial solvency. Under the general supervision of the Patient Access Supervisor, the Patient Access Rep performs imperative duties, including but not limited to: Appointment scheduling Registration and insurance verification Telephone coverage and data entry Filing protected health information (PHI) Patient referrals and point-of-service collections
