About The Position
ORIENTATION IS MON-FRI ON DAYS FOR 2-3 WEEKS Includes time in Springfield at Mercy Medical Center Position Purpose Completes patient registrations/pre-registration processes following department procedures using identified technology systems. Processes include obtaining accurate demographic, insurance and patient liability information. Responsible for working with multiple department/hospital and web-based systems. What you will do Performs complete and accurate pre-registrations, registration, and admission functions Verifies insurance requirements, obtains and understands insurance benefits Ensures that all entries concerning demographic, financial and advanced directives are Collects non-covered fees
Requirements
- Minimum High school or equivalent
- One year experience in an accredited hospital or physician's office preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication and interview skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computer systems and computer devices
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurances
