Patient Access Receptionist (Lobby Front Desk) Full Time Days

About The Position

Responsible for managing a broad spectrum of responsibilities and requests having to do with patient care and satisfaction. Greets patients cordially while registering patients efficiently, enters all required patient information into MERGE RIS System, performs initial financial screening and counseling, obtaining all required signatures, informing patients of MDC’s admission and financial responsibilities, and collecting money due at time of service. Educates patients on expected process and required elements related to admissions. Also schedules/reschedules patient appointments, ability to run insurance eligibilities, efficiently manage patient reception, and able to multi task in a busympatient practice accurately. Responsible for cross training to duties and responsibilities where needed; to float to provide coverage for all locations (Pointe West, Riverside, Parrish, and Arcadia. Must be flexible to work weekends, holidays and varied shifts as needed for appropriate departmental coverage and locations. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum of one (1) year of insurance and/or third party reimbursements experience, required
High School Graduate or equivalent

Nice To Haves

Minimum of one (1) year medical collections experience, preferred
Associates Degree, preferred
