About The Position

The Patient Access Manager is responsible for directing, coordinating, and supervising the functions of the centralized Patient Access Services department of UMFP. This role must promote effective communication and high levels of performance to support the clinical services and administrative duties of the department and clinic by ensuring a positive customer experience, complete and accurate patient documentation, ongoing employee training and engagement, and adherence to all key performance indicators and metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare or business-related field is preferred; or associate’s degree in a healthcare or business-related field is preferred; and minimum of 5 years of healthcare call center/access operations and scheduling experience
  • A highly functional professional who has at least 2 years or more of supervisory/managerial experience, working in an ambulatory setting and exhibits successful customer service skills
  • Minimum of 2 years scheduling/template building experience
  • Knowledge of GE/IDX, EPIC and related programs
  • Evidence of implemented best practices in a call center
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
