About The Position

In the role of Patient Access Specialist for Scheduling in our Lab, you will be primarily responsible for precise scheduling of patient appointments, considering provider preferences and appointment specifics. Your role requires meticulous entry and updating of electronic medical records including patient details and insurance information, ensuring high accuracy. As a central communication conduit, you will manage incoming calls and coordinate closely with clinical teams to assure a seamless flow of information and continuation of patient care. Anticipate engaging with various departments and external agencies to resolve scheduling conflicts and facilitate patient care continuity. The job demands an ability to handle stressful situations adeptly, with a mix of independent work and collaborative interactions with healthcare teams.
