About The Position

Baptist Health is looking for a part time Patient Access Coordinator to join their team in La Grange, KY. Patient Access Coordinators are crucial to the overall success of the entire revenue cycle, as most information submitted on a claim originates from an Access team member. The primary responsibility is to complete a thorough admissions process for all inpatients and outpatients. This role requires exemplary customer service skills, ensuring accurate information collection, maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and company policy, and informing patients of their rights. Extensive insurance experience and training are vital for success. The employee will also be responsible for maintaining compliance with state and federal regulatory body requirements regarding access services, including verifying insurance eligibility, ensuring compliance, and handling point of service estimates and collections.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must type 40-45 wpm
  • Extensive Insurance experience/training
