JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Pathologist • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Georgetown, SC • Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: December 1, 2025 – Ongoing • Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM COVERAGE DATES • January 12, 2026 – January 16, 2026 • January 19, 2026 – January 23, 2026 • February 16, 2026 – February 20, 2026 • February 23, 2026 – February 27, 2026 PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: All ages • Phone Consults: As required • Case Mix: Anatomic and clinical pathology services across multiple sites FACILITY INFORMATION • EMR System: Epic • Office Equipment Available: Standard pathology and laboratory equipment • Specialty Backup Available: Multisite pathology teams • Support Staff Available: Laboratory and hospital support staff • Reason for Coverage: Urgent full-time coverage need PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Credentialing Timeline: Expedited credentialing required • Cross-Facility Coverage Required: Yes, including Aiken, Novant Hilton Head, Novant Coastal Carolina, Kershaw, and remote reads for Columbia and Orangeburg • Dual Credentialing Required: Yes, MUSC and Novant Health COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Travel and Lodging: Hotel reimbursement up to $150 per night • Transportation: Rental car and fuel or mileage for personal vehicle reimbursed REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Diagnostic pathology case review across assigned subspecialties JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active South Carolina medical license required • Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pathology • Certifications: Pathology board certification required • Experience: Multisite pathology coverage experience preferred • Other Qualifications: Must list all pathology subspecialties with submission DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide diagnostic pathology services across multiple hospital and affiliate sites • Read and interpret pathology cases onsite and remotely as assigned • Collaborate with laboratory staff and clinical teams • Complete hospital modules and Epic personalization requirements • Accurately document and report pathology findings in Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active South Carolina medical license required
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pathology
- Pathology board certification required
- Must list all pathology subspecialties with submission

- Multisite pathology coverage experience preferred
