About The Position

The Pastry Lead will be friendly and a team player. The individual will have to ensure that the bakery/pastry area is well maintained and running efficiently. Additionally, the Pastry Lead will be the first point of contact with customers. The Pastry Lead is to be a role model of the company by driving results while maintaining company core values.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent;
  • Valid Food Handlers Card;
  • Customer Service and retail experience desirable.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Bakery Manager with training of Team Members;
  • Oversee Team Members and implement strategies to increase productivity;
  • Maintain inventory levels;
  • Collaborates with Bakery manager to prepare a weekly schedule based on projected sales and workload
  • Complete opening and closing duties as assigned;
  • Monitor quality of goods and service, while ensuring a fully-stocked display cases;
  • Place orders of supplies based on accurate forecasting of department needs;
  • Clearly communicates and enforces standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, Bakery conditions and food safety to all team members;
  • Provide customer service by greeting and assisting customers, responding to customer inquiries and complaints;
  • Provides flexibility by helping in any area in order to support the store needs.
  • Demonstrates personal Customer Service excellence. Engages with customers always;
  • Improves speed and efficiency of service provided.
