About The Position

As a Pastry Cook at Citizen House, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and execution of high-quality pastries, desserts, bread, and baked goods in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

• Previous experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant
• Basic understanding of pastry techniques, baking principles, and kitchen safety
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic

Nice To Haves

• Culinary education or relevant training in pastry arts is a plus

Responsibilities

• Execute the preparation of pastries, desserts, breads and baked goods following established recipes and guidelines.
• Work efficiently to meet the demands of high-volume dining periods while maintaining quality standards.
• Prepare pastry/dessert items during service, ensuring quality and presentation controls are met to the standard trained.
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to deliver items in a timely, and efficient manner, while maintaining a clean and organized preparation space.
• Collaborate with the chef and kitchen team(s) to ensure smooth coordination between savory and pastry offerings.
• Communicate effectively with other cooks and kitchen staff to streamline production processes.
• Assist in the monitoring of food quality, taste, and presentation to meet the restaurant's standards.
• Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Measure, weigh, and assemble ingredients for pastry recipes.
• Assist in inventory management and stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
• Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance pastry skills and stay current with industry trends.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by supporting colleagues and sharing knowledge.
