About The Position

The Pastry Cook is responsible for preparing and delivering consistent, high quality baked goods and confections while providing exceptional customer service, presentation, and a clean and safe environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have at least six months of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Knowledge of bakery/culinary supplies, equipment and facilities.
Ability to maintain quality control standards.
Ability to prepare and bake a variety of pastries and baked goods.
Knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods, techniques, and quality standards.
Pastry Certification
6 months or more experience in a fast pace kitchen environment
6 months or more experience in a bakery
Able to stand for the entire shift
Lift up to 30lbs (as needed)
Work with hands and fingers frequently (crop, cut, stock, label, etc)

Responsibilities

Prepares pastries on a daily basis, including cookies, cakes, brownies, bars, truffles, icing, frosting, etc. according to established recipes.
Reviews production schedules to determine variety and quantity of goods to bake, as well as supplies and equipment needed.
Gathers ingredients and other supplies from main kitchen and/or pantry, as needed.
Cleans and maintains work areas, utensils and equipment.
Tends to day-to-day problems and needs concerning equipment and/or ingredients.
Works with other team members to complete production sheets and other tasks as required.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Maintain pace due to event schedule.
May be asked to show new team members standard operating procedures.
Additional duties may be assigned.
