Why This Role Matters The Pastry Cook plays a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences by creating beautiful, consistent and high-quality desserts while supporting seamless kitchen operations and upholding Heritage’s culinary standards.
Requirements
- Six (6) months to one (1) year of pastry, baking or culinary experience.
- Knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods and dessert preparation.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and presentation.
- Current New Mexico Food Handler Certification.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30+ pounds.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, bake and present signature pastries, desserts, breads and specialty confections.
- Maintain pastry stations, equipment and ingredient organization.
- Follow recipes, portioning, presentation and food safety standards.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to support service flow and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor product quality, freshness and presentation throughout service.
