About The Position

We currently have full-time opportunity for a Pastry Cook in our 1947 Grill kitchen, which is our fine dining area that serves both lunch and dinner. Honoring the year of our founding, the 1947 Grill offers a spacious venue for members to dine indoors and out. Our restaurants at Carmel offer our members multiple dining venues including indoor casual dining, indoor formal dining, outdoor casual dining and pub dining. This position may work in those kitchens, as well as 1947 Restaurant kitchen. Team members are required to work evenings, holidays and weekends on a consistent basis. Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of pastry experience
  • culinary degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Preparing all baked goods, puddings, gelatins, frozen desserts, stewed and baked fruits, pies, cakes, pastries, icings, custards, fondants, and fillings used in desserts
  • Precisely follows all pastry shop recipes to ensure consistent high quality: measures ingredients using scales, measuring cups and spoons
  • Maintains complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment and tools as intended, properly and safely
  • Requisitions all products and supplies needed for the pastry shop
  • A positive attitude
