About The Position

801 Local is hiring for a Pastry Cook position! This is a part-time position working in a team-oriented, high-volume, fast-paced, guest-centric environment with the highest of quality food. This position is expected to work between 2-4 shifts per week, depending on business needs. Welcome to 801 Local A nearby upscale, comfortable and friendly eatery and cocktail bar where you are always welcome. An eclectic menu of chef created and prepared American cuisine. Curated modern wine list, innovative craft cocktails and collection of bourbons, rare gins and scotches. The neighborhood establishment that carries a classy, comfortable and personable ambiance. The menu is eclectic and upscale, featuring seasonal, hand-crafted American cuisine. Our patrons can call 801 Local their own with pride.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year experience, preferably more, in pastry production in upscale dining.
  • Basic knowledge of molecular gastronomy
  • Cake making & decorating
  • Petit fours/Mignardises
  • Gluten-free
  • Ice cream/sorbet
  • Bread making
  • Ability to effectively communicate with kitchen and front of house team in loud environment
  • Must be available any day of the week, including nights, weekends & some holidays
  • Must maintain regular, predictable and reliable attendance
  • Physical ability to work on your feet, alertly, for extended periods of time
  • Continuous use of hands and arms; continuous bending, reaching & twisting
  • Physical ability to frequently lift 20-30 lbs, and occasionally up to 50lbs;
  • Physical ability to squat, kneel, and climb
