The ideal Pastry Cook II candidate is a skilled and motivated pastry professional with a strong foundation in both classic and contemporary pastry techniques. They bring a minimum of 3 years of pastry experience, including at least 1 year in a high‑volume hotel banquet environment, and are comfortable working efficiently and creatively in a fast‑paced production setting. This candidate takes pride in consistency, attention to detail, and maintaining high standards while supporting the daily operations of a busy pastry shop. They are collaborative, eager to learn, and passionate about contributing to an elevated guest experience through exceptional pastry craftsmanship.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Prepare pastry food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
  • Execute daily baking and production of all pastry items, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to hotel standards.
  • Assemble desserts and pastry products for restaurants, banquets, and grab‑and‑go outlets.
  • Plate and present desserts for buffets and banquet events, maintaining a high level of accuracy and visual appeal.
  • Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards
  • Stock, maintain and ensure proper storage and refrigeration of an adequate supply of all prepared product
  • Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
