About The Position

This is responsible for the production of baked goods and pastry preparation for banquets events and all F&B Outlets as well as taking a lead in various assignments and stations. Essential Functions Must adhere to the company’s Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life. Must actively participate in team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort. Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag. Participates in production and quality of baked goods such as breakfast pastries, breads, cakes, cold desserts, and other various pastries to meet resorts’ standards. Must be able to follow the recipes and measure the ingredients correctly. Operates all commercial kitchen equipment and bake shop equipment correctly and in a safe manner. Responsible for individual BEO and/or single outlet production Maintains high standards of cleanliness and sanitation at workstation and other work areas. Assist in training new employees, as needed. Abide by all resort policies and safety rules. Perform other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

  • Experience in Pastry/Bakery is required
  • In compliance with California laws, Current Food Handlers Certification is required
  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required
  • Medium work - Exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. This can involve bending, kneeling, or stooping
  • Must be able to stand during entire shift
  • Must be able to withstand temperature variations both hot and cold
  • Must be able to work outdoors

  • Experience in a resort or a related field preferred
