GENERAL PURPOSE: The purpose of this position is to maintain quality standards and product levels of all pastry products in the bakery in addition to training other pastry chefs. This person will be preparing, cooking, mixing, baking, assembling, packaging, labeling, and decorating pastries; ordering, receiving, and storing product; determining production and inventory levels, and providing exceptional customer service. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures Ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services the bakery provides Responsible for maintaining the appropriate product assortment and inventory levels for the bakery Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products, paying particular attention to ad items Ensures the bakery is cleaned and sanitized daily and meets the company standards for appearance Delivers excellent customer service to all customers Follows production sheets to ensure appropriate inventory levels of Harmons’ pastries Ensures the correct amount of ingredients and supplies are in stock Prepares, cooks, bakes, assembles, and decorates pastries for sale and to keep as back-stock Communicates openly and frequently with Store Director and Bakery Manager MARGINIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
