About The Position

Do you have a passion for creating high-quality, from-scratch pastries? Are you an early bird who is productive early in the morning? As a pastry cook, you'll work hard to deliver delicious treats and delectable pastries to all our guests. You'll offer timely and effective customer service to ensure guests walk away satisfied.

Requirements

  • Having a degree from a culinary school is preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills and the desire and ability to learn.
  • Being capable of thinking on their feet and being able to keep up in high-pressure situations is essential.
  • Be on your feet a lot.
  • There will be occasions when you may be carrying/lifting to 50 pounds, walking, bending/twisting, climbing stairs, and working on slippery floors.
  • Must be able to accommodate varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Scaling, mixing, and baking of cakes, cookies, laminated doughs, quick breads, Viennoiserie, fillings, etc. from scratch by correctly following recipes provided.
  • Filling, decorating, and finishing cakes and specialty pastries for retail presentation.
  • Contribute creatively to recipe development, following a consistent high standard of flavor and aesthetic set by the Pastry Chef.
  • Ensure that refrigerated foods and inventory are properly stored, rotated, and labeled according to food safety guidelines.
